Invoice SkyPrivacy Policy

This policy explains what information SJ Tech LLC (“we”), which provides Invoice Sky, collects when you use invoicesky.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don't sell personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, and the business details you add to your profile (business name, phone, email, address, logo).
- Invoice information: the invoices, drafts, services, prices, discounts and notes you create, and your clients' names and the contact details you enter for them (email, phone, address).
- Uploads: photos or PDFs you upload so we can read an invoice and fill in the details.
- Payment information: if you take payments online, Stripe collects your identity and bank details during sign-up, and your clients' card or bank details at checkout. We receive your Stripe account ID, whether your account can take payments, and payment results (amount, date, status). We never receive or store full card numbers or bank account numbers.
- Activity: basic records such as when an invoice was sent, emailed, viewed by your client, reminded and paid, and standard technical logs (like IP address and browser) kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the Service: store your invoices, generate PDFs, send invoice and reminder emails on your behalf, show your client their invoice, and process payments through Stripe.
- To sign you in, keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
- To provide support, and to tell you about important changes to the Service or these policies.
- To understand and improve the Service using aggregated, non-identifying usage information.
Your clients' information
When you add a client, you are responsible for having a legitimate reason to share their details with us and to send them invoices. We use client information only to provide the Service to you, for example to email them your invoice or a payment reminder, and to show them their invoice page.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Invoice Sky. They process information only on our instructions:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Resend: sending invoice, reminder and sign-in emails.
- Stripe: payment processing and business verification for online payments, and billing for Pro subscriptions, under Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Anthropic: reading photos or PDFs of invoices you choose to upload, to fill in invoice details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply to your information).
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. We store small preferences, like light or dark mode, in your browser. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open, because your invoice history is part of the Service. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons. Payment records held by Stripe are kept under Stripe's policies.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each account's data is isolated so other users can't see it, and client invoice links use long random codes that can't be guessed. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit your information in the app, export your invoices as PDFs or a CSV file, and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@invoicesky.app. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights; we will honor them as the law requires. If your client asks us about their information, we may refer them to you as the business that holds the relationship.
Children
Invoice Sky is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will let you know by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
